ANGUS

Angus is a tricolor male with a docked tail from Sand Spring, OK. He came into the shelter with his full sister Amelia (from a different litter).

Happy Tails for Angus!   Angus has a very happy ending to his rescue story, and a very happy beginning for his new life!  Mr. Angus was adopted by a wonderful family in the Kansas City area, and he is now enjoying life as a member of a busy household.  With four children of his very own, Angus is sure to have a lap to cuddle in at all times.  His new best dog buddy is a 1 1/2 year old Brussels Griffon, AKA "Sprout."   Angus and Sprout spend hours every day playing and chasing in their huge backyard.  What more could a deserving Cardigan ask for???  How about obedience and agility lessons?  Yes, the family has already signed up Mr. Angus, and he may even be in class with his foster mom and one of his Cardigan buddies from his foster home! We wish the best for Angus, and we want everyone to know that he is living life to the fullest and that he has a wonderful family devoted to him.

OREO

Oreo has been adopted!

PRISSY

Prissy finally has a home in Texas with a club member, Kathleen Conway. Kathleen has graciously offered to let Prissy live out her life w/ her family. All of the CWCCA Rescue is very appreciative for Kathleen taking on a 12 yr old Senior.

A very special thanks to Scott and Laura Blanton, for fostering Prissy for well over a year. They took Prissy in with no hesitation, even though it was a difficult first 6 months. Thanks Laura and Scott.

RUDY

In November 2002, a small red merle Cardigan was found wandering the streets of Marion, Arkansas and was picked up by the Humane Society.  Shorty, as he was named by the Humane Society workers, was a hoot from the start.  He did not like being alone and would climb the fence of his run to get into the next run with another dog.  CWCCA rescue was contacted by a kind sheltie rescue person who spotted "Shorty" on one of her many trips to the shelter.  It took several weeks to get "Shorty" from the Memphis area to the Nashville area, where he was fostered by Laura Prosser.  He finally made most of the trip with another Sheltie rescue volunteer, and when Laura picked him up "Shorty" hoped right in the crate and was ready for the next leg of his great adventure.   The name "Shorty" didn't seem to quite fit so  Laura and her husband, Rick, changed his name to Rudy - since he was red and arrived close to Christmas.  Rudy was very thin and had a somewhat touchy stomach.   He blossomed with a good steady diet over the holidays and a seemingly perfect home was found for him in Pittsburgh, PA. Arrangements were made to take Rudy to Kentucky to meet his new owners at another volunteer's home.  Rudy met his new family there and left with them.  Sadly, Laura received a call from the new owners the next day telling her that Rudy was just not going to work out.  He had a "GAS" problem that they could not deal with.  So...the next day, Laura and Rick went back to Kentucky to get Rudy.  At this point, Rick decided that Rudy had been passed around enough and he found his forever home in Tennessee with Laura and Rick!  Rudy is now in obedience classes and hopes to debut at the 2004 Nationals.  Oh, by the way, thanks to lots of love and quality kibble - NO GAS!!!
