Fancy is a lovely brindle pointed black & white Cardigan who came into rescue on December 20, 2005. Fancy had been turned into a shelter in Knoxville TN. Her age was between 4 and 5 years. She went up on the website and we had several inquiries. The first inquiry turned out to be the correct home for her. Lucy, as she is now called, went to live with a couple in Maryland who had Cardigans before and had their last older one die a year ago. They sent their application in and we had several phone calls and e-mails with them over adopting Lucy. The third weekend in January 2006, I met them in Greensboro, NC, halfway for each of us, to deliver Lucy to them. It is a wonderful home and they fell in love with Lucy the minute I opened the back door of the Suburban. Lucy is sleeping on the bed, has several walks a day, a wonderful backyard and a family who adores her.

Frisco (formerly Buster) was pulled from a shelter in Ohio. He is now happily placed into a loving home. Here is a note from Frisco's new family:
"Here are a few pictures of Frisco in his new home. He and Fiona (our Pembroke Welsh Corgi) are doing well together. Fiona really wants to play with him, but I'm not sure that Frisco knows how to play with her. They sniff each other and give little "kisses" on the face, but they haven't started playing yet. Frisco really loves attention and affection. He loves having his belly rubbed. He also loves to lay in the dog bed."

"I first fell in love with my boy Buggles after learning that he was a corgi in need at a high kill shelter in Ohio. Upon leaning that he had been removed from the shelter by the CWCNRT, I was excited to learn that out of state adoption would be possible. My self and my husband submitted our application and the rest is history. Buggles became a member of our family on February 20, 2006. I could not be more pleased with him or the wonderful organization we adopted him from. His foster mom was truly dedicated to his welfare and training to ease his transition into our home. Each day he blossoms as bit more. Our family looks forward to many years of new adventures and memories with him. I am truly grateful that there is an organization such as the CWCNRT for corgis in need, to ensure that they are adopted to loving families for a second chance at a wonderful life." Pansy, a lovely and sweet blue merle female Cardigan, was placed prior through CWCNRT. Changes in the home had caused her to have to be left alone to often and her owner felt she deserved better.
Pansy has found a wonderful home which includes two canine housemates. From Mark & Lori, Pansy's new family:
"Pansy is such a joy and is opening up more to us each day. She has such a sweet and silly personality. Her brothers have welcomed her into the house and enjoy her company. We are so glad she is part of our family."

Buddy, now Toby, was found in Jackson, MI as a stray. He came right to the police officer who found him and is a friendly boy. Attempts have been made to look for his owner but no one has claimed him. He weights approximately 28 pounds and it is estimated that he around 9 to 10 years of age. His general health seems to be good but he does have cataracts.
Toby has found a new home!
